Manama, Sep. 15 (BNA): As part of the Russian Seasons, and in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, the Russian Ministry of Culture and ROSKINO are organising the Russian Film Festival from 18 to 20 September 2025 at Reel Cinemas Bahrain – Marassi Galleria.

The festival opens on Thursday, 18 September 2025, with Finist, the First Warrior, a film inspired by Russian folklore, at 7 pm.

On Friday, 19 September 2025, two films will be shown: Cats in the Museum by Vasily Rovensky at 12 noon, followed by The Spirit of Baikal by Mikhail Raskhodnikov at 3 pm. On Saturday, 20 September 2025, two more films will be screened: Red Ribbons by Dmitry Belosokhov at 12 noon, and Hockey Dads by Andrey Bulatov at 3 pm.

All screenings are open to the public, with advance registration available through the online link http://rff2025.bh.

The Russian Film Festival highlights the strong cultural ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation. Throughout 2025, several cultural venues in Bahrain are hosting a range of Russian cultural events, including performances, workshops, and seminars.

It is worth noting that the Russian Seasons began in January at the Bahrain National Theatre as part of the 19th Spring of Culture Festival, coinciding with the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation.
