Riyadh, June 17 (BNA): Jasem Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, held a telephone call with Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the call discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, international efforts to advance the peace process, and exchanged views on means to enhance regional and international coordination to achieve security and stability in the region.

Both sides emphasised the need to continue supporting de-escalation efforts in the region in the interest of lasting peace in the region and the world.
