Manama, Oct. 20 (BNA): The Asian Youth Games continued today with a busy second day of action featuring several Bahraini teams competing across multiple sports.

Bahrain’s boys’ and girls’ beach volleyball teams began their campaigns at Sama Beach courts, facing Sri Lanka and the Maldives respectively.

In handball, the national youth team will meet the Maldives this evening at the Bahrain Handball Association Hall, looking to build on their strong start after defeating Hong Kong in their opening match. The encounter is seen as a key step in the team’s push for an Asian medal.

Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Kabaddi team will take on Thailand and Iran in their morning fixtures at the Isa bin Rashid Sports Complex in Riffa, marking their debut in the Games.

Teqball competitions also get underway today at the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) with Bahrain fielding both boys’ and girls’ teams.

In indoor volleyball, the men’s national team will open their campaign against Pakistan, while the women’s team will face a challenging match against Iran later this evening.
