Custodian of Two Holy Mosques appoints Sheikh Saleh bin Fawzan Al Fawzan as Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia
Riyadh, Oct. 23 (BNA): King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, issued a Royal Order appointing Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Fawzan bin Abdullah Al Fawzan as Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, and President of the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, with the rank of minister.
The order was issued following a review of the relevant laws, Royal Decrees and Orders, and based on the recommendation submitted by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
