Cairo, Oct. 2 (BNA): The 15th transport plane of the Kuwaiti Air Force arrived at Al Arish Airport in northern Sinai on Thursday, carrying 40 tonnes of food supplies for the Gaza Strip as part of Kuwait’s humanitarian air bridge to support the Palestinian people.
According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Munira Al Saeed, Head of the Disaster Department at the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), said the flight was part of the “Fazaa for Gaza” campaign, supervised by the society in coordination with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defence and Social Affairs.
She noted that the shipment, provided by Jood Charity, included flour and food baskets delivered by the Kuwait Air Force to ensure swift arrival to those in need.
Al Saeed highlighted that the ongoing aid reflects Kuwait’s firm commitment to humanitarian support and its values of solidarity and giving. She expressed appreciation to the Kuwaiti charities contributing to the campaign and to the Egyptian authorities, including Kuwait’s Embassy in Cairo and the Egyptian Red Crescent, for facilitating the delivery and distribution of the assistance in Gaza.
