Tashkent, Jan. 26 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), met with His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the sidelines of the reception held by His Excellency for the delegations participating in the 46th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in Tashkent.

During the meeting, they exchanged views and discussed issues of mutual interest, as well as means to enhance sports cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Uzbekistan, to support the development of the Olympic and sports movement in Asia.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali commended the excellent organisation and expressed appreciation for Uzbekistan’s support of Asian Olympic work. His Highness noted Uzbekistan’s active role in the success of the OCA meetings and in strengthening cooperation between national Olympic committees, and wished the country further progress and success.
