Bahrain tops Arab standings with three gold medals at IMMAF World Championships in Georgia

 Tbilisi, Oct. 3 (BNA): The Bahrain national mixed martial arts (MMA) team won three gold medals at the IMMAF World Championships in Tbilisi, held as part of the fifth edition of BRAVE International Combat Week “Georgia 2025.”

Arsen Suleymanov won the Junior 93kg category, Gimbat Magomedov won the Senior 79.4kg division, and Ghazi Gaziev won the Senior 88.4kg category, placing the Kingdom at the forefront of Arab nations in the global competition.

Mohamed Qambar, President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation, expressed pride in the achievement, noting that it extends the Kingdom’s success in international sporting events. He highlighted the support of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

He also commended the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, for his close follow-up and support of the team’s progress.

President Mohamed Qambar said the medals reflect the skill and determination of Bahraini athletes and represent an incentive for further achievements, consolidating Bahrain’s position as a regional and international centre for mixed martial arts.

He emphasised that the federation will continue preparing a new generation of fighters to represent Bahrain in international competitions, commending the efforts of the administrative and technical teams that contributed to this result.
