Paris, Nov. 25 (BNA): The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in Paris will host the international seminar "The Culture of Tylos: Hellenistic Antiquities in Bahrain" on Tuesday.

The seminar is organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and the Greek Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the permanent delegations of Bahrain and Greece to UNESCO and the embassies of both countries in Paris. It aims to highlight the importance of cultural cooperation in enhancing human knowledge of shared history and connecting the past with the present through research and scientific exchange.

The seminar will feature a distinguished group of international experts in archaeology, Hellenistic history, and cultural anthropology, including Dr. Pierre Lombard, researcher at the National Centre for Scientific Research in Lyon, France, and former head of the French archaeological mission in Bahrain; Dr Sofia Zoumbaki, Director of Research at the National Research Foundation in Athens, Greece; Dr Pierre-Louis Gatier, researcher at the National Centre for Scientific Research; and Dr Julien Cuny, researcher at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

Through their presentations, they will address topics related to the history of the Tylos civilisation in Bahrain, Hellenistic culture in the Arabian Gulf, and archaeological discoveries at several sites in the Kingdom.
