GCC Sec Gen meets Egyptian Foreign Minister
New York, Sep. 22 (BNA): Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting reviewed the dialogue and strategic partnership between the GCC and Egypt and discussed means to strengthen and develop these relations in various fields to achieve shared goals.
The latest regional and international developments were also reviewed and addressed, most notably the developments in the Gaza Strip and the serious violations being perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.
Both sides emphasised the importance of concerted efforts to achieve a ceasefire, urgently deliver aid and end the crisis to preserve regional and international security and stability.
