Cairo, Mar. 2 (BNA):  Member states of the League of Arab States strongly condemned and denounced the Iranian attacks that targeted the sovereignty and territorial integrity of a number of Arab countries, stressing that such actions constitute a blatant violation of international laws and charters, as well as the principles of good neighbourliness, and pose serious risks to the security and stability of the region as a whole.
In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, member states affirmed that the security of Arab countries is "indivisible", reiterating their firm rejection of any infringement on the sovereignty of any Arab state under any pretext.
The League of Arab States called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to immediately cease all escalatory actions and to exercise restraint in order to avoid further widening the conflict and the grave consequences it could have for regional peace and security.
The statement also expressed the member states’ appreciation for the intensive diplomatic efforts undertaken by the Sultanate of Oman, alongside the valued initiatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, and other countries, aimed at sparing the region the dangers of escalation, stressing the importance of building on those efforts to enhance stability.
The League of Arab States concluded by underscoring the need for full adherence to the rules of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, in a manner that safeguards the sovereignty of Arab states and protects their capabilities from any external interference.
