Bahraini, Russian National Human Rights Institutions discuss strengthening cooperation
Moscow, June 11 (BNA): As part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation in the field of human rights, Ali Ahmed Alderazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights, met with Tatyana Moskalkova, the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, during an official visit to Moscow.
The meeting featured an exchange of expertise and best practices in the protection and promotion of human rights, as well as discussions on issues of mutual interest concerning citizens of both countries.
The two sides also explored means to enhance bilateral cooperation between their respective national human rights institutions, particularly in the areas of training, capacity building, and information exchange, in order to further strengthen the effectiveness of these institutions in safeguarding fundamental rights and freedoms.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Moskalkova extended an official invitation to Alderazi to participate in the upcoming International Scientific and Practical Conference on the Challenges of Human Rights Protection in the Eurasian Region, scheduled to be held in Moscow in October this year.
