Sunni Endowments Chairman participates in International Conference on Islamic Studies in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, Apr. 16 (BNA): Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, participated in the Third International Conference on Islamic Studies, held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The conference, which focused on citizenship, identity, and shared values of coexistence, brought together a distinguished group of academics and researchers from various countries to address key issues and explore strategies for fostering inclusive and cohesive societies.
In his address, Dr. Al Hajri emphasised that citizenship is a comprehensive concept based on the notion that the nation is one family, involving full participation and shared interests that contribute to protecting the nation and preserving its achievements and history. He added that the goal of citizenship is to live in security, with loyalty and belonging as its foundation.
