DANAT hosts specialised emerald workshop featuring exclusive offers for Saudi nationals
Manama, Sep. 21 (BNA): The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) announced that it will host an interactive workshop on emeralds on Tuesday, September 23, bringing together enthusiasts, specialists, and professionals from across the gemstone industry.
The initiative reflects DANAT’s ongoing commitment to advancing scientific and professional knowledge in the field through training and educational programmes, while further strengthening its position as a global hub and leading training destination in the sector.
The workshop will offer participants a comprehensive learning experience centred on the distinctive characteristics and origins of emeralds. Attendees will explore the visual and physical properties of the gemstone and the advanced scientific methods used to differentiate between natural, treated, and synthetic emeralds. Participants will also engage in hands-on training using the latest inspection technologies, enabling them to gain practical expertise in identification and evaluation methods.
In recognition of the close ties between Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in celebration of the Saudi National Day, DANAT will extend an exclusive 15% discount to Saudi citizens attending the workshop.
Noora Jamsheer, Chief Executive Officer of DANAT, underscored the Institute’s ongoing commitment to advancing educational initiatives that deepen both the scientific understanding and technical proficiency of individuals engaged in the gemmological domain, noting that emeralds have long held a distinguished status among gemstones, valued for their exceptional aesthetic qualities as well as their historical and cultural significance across ancient civilisations.
Jamsheer emphasised DANAT’s commitment to delivering scientifically grounded knowledge through the expertise of its specialised team. She highlighted Bahrain’s longstanding legacy in the pearls and gemstones sector, which strengthens the Institute’s role as a trusted centre for education and professional development. Through its workshops, DANAT offers comprehensive learning experiences that combine theoretical insight with practical application, using advanced gemmological inspection tools and modern technologies. This approach, she noted, equips participants with the skills and confidence to enhance their capabilities and excel in the domain.
The CEO further highlighted that the exclusive offers extended to Saudi nationals embody the deep-rooted historical ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and affirmed that DANAT remains dedicated to honouring and strengthening this enduring relationship through its specialised training programmes and educational initiatives.
