Lima, Dec. 2 (BNA): Health authorities in the Republic of Peru announced that at least 12 people were killed, and 20 others were left injured after a landslide in the Amazon region sunk two boats on the Ucayali river.

According to Reuters, the authorities explained that two people remain missing, noting that police and navy units had been dispatched by helicopter to help the rescue efforts.
