UAE President and Brazilian counterpart discuss bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership
Abu Dhabi, Feb. 24 (BNA): His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held talks with Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, to explore means to enhance cooperation within the framework of the two countries’ strategic partnership.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), both sides reviewed the development of cooperation, particularly in economic and trade sectors, advanced technology, renewable energy, sustainability, food security, education, and logistics.
The talks also addressed ongoing negotiations between the UAE and Mercosur to establish a Comprehensive Economic Partnership, with both sides expressing hope that it would open broader opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries.
The two leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, emphasising the importance of supporting efforts to maintain peace and stability.
