Iraq extends airspace closure for 72 hours
Baghdad, Mar. 13 (BNA): Iraq announced the extension of the closure of its airspace to all arriving, departing, and transiting aircraft for 72 hours as a temporary precautionary measure, based on the ongoing assessment of the security situation and regional developments.
In a statement, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority said the decision takes effect from 12:00 PM on Friday, March 13, until 12:00 PM on Monday, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.
The authority added that the decision will be reassessed in light of developments, noting that airlines and relevant authorities will be notified of any further updates.
