Transportation Minister visits Youth City 2030
Manama, Aug. 1 (BNA): Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, visited to Youth City 2030 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed commended the initiative as a leading example of youth empowerment and future-focused development.
The minister praised Youth City 2030 for its role in equipping young Bahrainis with the skills and opportunities needed to contribute meaningfully to the Kingdom’s long-term development. He was accompanied by Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, along with a number of senior officials and project organisers.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed toured the city’s various sections and reviewed a wide range of training programmes and workshops focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, digital media, and the creative arts. He was also briefed on the strategic framework of the initiative, which emphasises innovation and alignment with national development priorities.
The minister affirmed that the initiative reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, whose leadership continues to inspire and guide efforts to empower the youth. He also highlighted the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in placing young people at the centre of national progress.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed commended the role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), in promoting innovative programmes that build youth capacity and leadership.
He concluded by affirming the ministry’s commitment to advancing national talent, supporting strategic partnerships, and fostering a culture of innovation that enables young Bahrainis to thrive in a sustainable and prosperous future.
