Islamabad, July 31 (BNA): The death toll from heavy monsoon rains and flash floods in Pakistan since June 26 has risen to 291, with 698 others injured, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

 In a statement, the NDMA said that approximately 826 houses were also damaged due to the rains and flooding.

 The fatalities include 102 men, 51 women, and 138 children. Rescue and relief operations were ongoing across the affected areas in coordination with provincial authorities.
