Manama, Jan. 27 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), received the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) board, all committee heads and members, and staff.

The meeting was attended His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the GSA, and Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the GSA.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the efforts of the BFA board and all working committees in managing the Bahraini football system and developing the national teams.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad highlighted his commitment to supporting the association and strengthening the status of Bahraini football. His Highness commended the Association’s efforts in developing all aspects of the sport, continuously improving local competitions, enhancing refereeing standards, and supporting the national teams. This reflects the vision of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS, which has led Bahraini football to many successes in recent years.

On their part, the Chairman and members of the BFA board expressed appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad for the ongoing support. They noted that His Highness’ interest serves as a significant incentive to persist in their efforts and further advance Bahraini football.
