Manama, Oct. 15 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa will arrive in the Italian Republic tomorrow on a visit during which he will meet with His Holiness Pope Francis.

HM King Hamad will hold talks with Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, and Giorgia Meloni, Italian Prime Minister, to discuss the Bahraini-Italian ties and topics of common interests.

The meeting will review the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip and pushing forward efforts toward a comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East region.

HM the King had met in the United Kingdom with His Majesty King Charles III, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

HM King Hamad and HM King Charles III reviewed the close historical partnership between Bahrain and the UK and means of further developing them in various domains.

HM the King also discussed regional and international developments with British government officials, including the Israeli war on Gaza and working to end military escalation, prioritising civilian protection, and opening safe corridors for humanitarian aid.

HM King Hamad emphasised the importance of achieving just, lasting peace to consolidate regional security and stability.
