NPRA Undersecretary visits Zayed International Airport
Abu Dhabi, Oct. 2 (BNA): Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), visited Zayed International Airport (AUH) in the United Arab Emirates to review the complete passenger journey experience.
Accompanied by Juma Abdullah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Digital Transformation Sector at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, the Undersecretary was briefed on the services offered by the National Advance Passenger Information Centre. He received a detailed presentation on national systems, operational practices, and their role in enhancing border security and ensuring smooth travel procedures.
Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman commended the advanced level achieved by AUH in this field and also commended the efforts to develop digital solutions and smart systems.
The visit also included Dalil Information Technology, a company specialising in designing and implementing early passenger screening systems. The company has executed similar projects in the region in cooperation with government bodies and airlines, in line with ICAO standards and international best practices. The company presented its applied solutions and expertise.
During the visit, the Undersecretary discussed cooperation between the NPRA and the visited entities to exchange expertise and develop integrated smart systems aimed at enhancing border security and facilitating passenger procedures according to international best practices.
