Tokyo, Feb. 7 (BNA): Gita Gopinath, First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said on Friday that it is too early to conduct a precise analysis of the impact of increased US tariffs on other countries.

Speaking at a press conference, Gopinath emphasised the importance of international cooperation in resolving trade disputes and ensuring a supportive environment for global trade.

She was responding to a question about the potential effects of global trade tensions and US President Donald Trump’s tariff threats against various countries, including Japan.
