Jordanian Monarch, Slovenian President discuss bilateral relations, regional developments
Ljubljana, Oct. 20 (BNA): His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan met with Nataša Pirc Musar, President of the Republic of Slovenia, during His Majesty’s official visit to the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana.
According to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the two sides discussed bilateral relations in various political and economic domains, as well as the latest regional developments.
His Majesty King Abdullah II reiterated Jordan’s commitment to expand bilateral cooperation, highlighting Slovenia’s key role in supporting peace and stability efforts in the Middle East within the framework of the European Union. His Majesty emphasised the need to commit to the ceasefire in Gaza, implement all stages of the agreement to end the war, and ensure the flow of relief aid to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Strip.
On her part, President Musar underlined Slovenia’s commitment to developing strong ties with Jordan and enhancing cooperation in the domains of digitalisation, green technology, education, and humanitarian efforts. The Slovenian President commended Jordan’s prominent role in supporting the Palestinians and facilitating the delivery of Slovenian aid through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, while commending Jordan’s continued efforts to achieve peace and reiterating Slovenia’s support for the two-state solution.
