Manama, Sep. 12 (BNA): Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, Chief Executive Officer of Government Hospitals, emphasised that government hospitals continue to apply the highest standards of quality and safety, reflecting the ongoing development of healthcare services and supporting the National Health Strategy’s goals for sustainable specialised care.

She made the statement as the Psychiatric Hospital received the national platinum accreditation from the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), after successfully meeting nationally approved standards for quality, safety and clinical governance.

Dr. Al Jalahma expressed pride in this achievement, describing it as a recognition of the dedication of medical, nursing and administrative staff, and commended their efforts in strengthening mental health services and consolidating the hospital’s role as a leading national centre for specialised healthcare.

The accreditation followed a comprehensive evaluation by NHRA, which included detailed reviews of clinical services, patient safety, administrative efficiency, risk management, and continuous performance improvement programmes.
