Jordanian Monarch, Vietnamese President hold talks
Hanoi, Nov. 13 (BNA): His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan held talks with His Excellency President Lương Cường of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Hanoi on Wednesday, focusing on bilateral relations and regional developments.
His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed that the upcoming Vietnam–Jordan Business Forum marks a new chapter in cooperation and the strengthening of partnerships between the private sectors of both nations across diverse domains. His Majesty emphasised that this collaboration will enhance connectivity between Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Discussions addressed opportunities to expand economic cooperation in promising sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, agriculture, and halal foods, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
On the sidelines of the visit, the governments of Jordan and Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding between their respective ministries of foreign affairs. The meeting also witnessed the signing of another memorandum of understanding between the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
