Palestinian Prime Minister, Swiss Foreign Minister discuss Gaza ceasefire
Ramallah, June 11 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, Prime Minister of Palestine, met today with Ignazio Cassis, Swiss Foreign Minister, to discuss efforts to end the war on the Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), the two officials also addressed coordination for the upcoming international peace conference set to take place in New York later this month.
Prime Minister Mustafa stressed the need to open crossings into Gaza and to rely on international institutions such as UNRWA to deliver humanitarian aid. He expressed hope that the conference would lead to meaningful actions to support the two-state solution, enhance international recognition of the State of Palestine, and strengthen the Palestinian economy.
Minister Cassis underscored the importance of Israel's adherence to international law and the necessity of ensuring humanitarian aid reaches Gaza amid the deteriorating situation. He emphasised Switzerland's commitment to supporting ceasefire efforts and promoting peace based on the two state solution.
