Tamkeen-Skills Bahrain, Bahrain FinTech Bay unveil key insights on fintech job trends at ‘Future Skills – Fintech’ event

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): Skills Bahrain, an initiative under the umbrella of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), in collaboration with Bahrain FinTech Bay, held the ‘Future Skills – Fintech’ event.


The event brought together industry leaders, regulators, and fintech professionals to discuss the findings of the latest Fintech Sector Skills Report produced by Skills Bahrain in partnership with Bahrain Fintech Bay. The report highlights labour market trends, skill gaps, and opportunities in the sector.

This initiative is part of Skills Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to guide local talent and highlight the skills and jobs that are in demand within key economic sectors. Additionally, it showcases BFB’s drive to strengthen Bahrain’s position as a fintech hub. The discussions focused on the skills needed to meet industry demands, education and training opportunities for Bahraini professionals, and strategies to bridge talent gaps.

Amer Marhoon, Managing Director of Skills Bahrain, described the Fintech Sector Skills Report as a key reference for assessing trends in the fintech industry. He emphasised the organisation’s commitment to providing the Bahraini workforce with essential information to support informed education and career choices that align with the evolving digital economy. Developed in collaboration with industry leaders, the report offers valuable insights into the skills and job roles needed in Bahrain’s labour market, allowing Tamkeen to tailor its training programmes based on industry-driven data. He expressed his satisfaction in partnering with Bahrain FinTech Bay to host the event, bringing together industry experts and professionals to explore the report’s findings for the fintech sector.

Bader Sater, CEO of Bahrain FinTech Bay, emphasised that talent development plays a crucial role in advancing Bahrain’s fintech sector. He noted that the collaboration with Skills Bahrain aims to address skill gaps, expand opportunities for professionals, and foster sustainable industry growth. He added that the report’s findings will help shape future initiatives to enhance workforce capabilities and solidify Bahrain’s position as a fintech innovation hub.
