Manama, Jan. 16 (BNA): Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,900.20 points, marking an increase of 5.73 points above the previous closing.

This increase was due to a rise in the material sector.

Bahrain Islamic Index has closed at 764.44 points, marking a decrease of 7.18 points below the previous closing.

Results indicated that 57 equity transactions took place with a volume of 864,346 worth BD 242,934.

Investors traded mainly in the financial sector, representing 36.46% of the total value of securities traded.
