HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa meets children from HH's Golf Academy
Manama, Jan. 28 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, met with a number of children from the Nasser bin Hamad Golf Academy as part of the events accompanying the Bapco Energies Bahrain Golf Championship.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
The meeting was spontaneous, with HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad engaging in conversation with the children in a positive and motivating environment, reflecting interest in motivating them, instilling confidence and ambition, and encouraging them to enjoy playing golf and constantly strive to develop their skills. His Highness said that nurturing emerging talent in golf is an investment in the future of Bahraini sports, noting that providing specialised training programmes and a supportive environment contributes to discovering young talent and honing their skills in the right way.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasised the importance of instilling positive sporting values in children and promoting discipline, perseverance and teamwork, which will have a positive impact on their sporting and personal development. His Highness also praised the efforts of the technical and administrative staff at the Nasser bin Hamad Golf Academy, appreciating their role in preparing specialised training programmes and monitoring the development of children, which hones their skills and builds a strong base of promising talent.
