Jordan Armed Forces: 85 Iranian missiles, drones targeted Jordan in 2nd week of war
Amman, Mar. 14 (BNA): The Jordan Armed Forces announced that 85 missiles and drones were launched from Iran towards the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan during the second week of the regional war, targeting vital sites within the Kingdom.
According to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the Military Media Directorate of the Jordan Armed Forces said the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted 79 missiles and drones, while five drones and one missile fell inside Jordanian territory.
The Military Media Directorate confirmed that the Jordan Armed Forces continue to carry out their duty to defend the country and protect it from any aggression, dedicating all their capabilities and resources to maintaining Jordan’s security and the safety of its citizens.
On his part, the spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate said that Civil Defense and police teams responded to 93 reports of falling debris from missiles and drones across Jordan’s governorates during the past week.
He added that Civil Defense teams dealt with nine moderate injuries resulting from these incidents, with the injured taken to hospitals for the necessary care and later discharged after their condition improved.
