Manama, Oct. 19 (BNA):  Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,976.63 points, marking an increase of 3.01 points above the previous closing.

This increase was due to the rise in the consumer discretionary sector, the financial sector, the material sector and the real estate sector.

Bahrain Islamic Index has closed at 946.99 points, marking an increase of 3.56 points above the previous closing.

Results indicated that 64 equity transactions took place with a volume of 3,231,535 worth BD 764,632.

Investors traded mainly in the financial sector, representing 82.22% of the total value of securities traded.
