Ankara, Feb. 07 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and Numan Kurtulmuş, President of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, signed a cooperation protocol between the two sides.

The bilateral parliamentary cooperation protocol is part of efforts to uphold shared cultural values, strengthen ties between Bahrain and Türkiye, and enhance collaboration between the Council of Representatives and the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.

The parliamentary cooperation protocol aims to enhance cooperation across all domains, strengthening institutional work and international collaboration based on bilateral relations.

It includes a follow-up mechanism through joint projects, initiatives, and programmes, encouraging cooperation in various areas and coordinating positions on mutual issues in parliamentary, regional, and international forums.

The protocol aims to enhance communication between parliamentarians, facilitate joint meetings, exchange legislative expertise, and optimise collaboration between the general secretariats to improve institutional practices.
