Amman, Jan. 19 (BNA): His Majesty King Abdullah II received Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.

The meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, covered the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Qatar, as well as means to enhance cooperation across various sectors, particularly through the Jordanian-Qatari Joint Higher Committee, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

Discussions also focused on regional developments, and the importance of maintaining coordination in the service of mutual interests, and to ensure respect for the sovereignty of Arab states and achieve stability in the region.
