Information Minister: Regulation of joint communication services boosts unified policy development
Manama, May 19 (BNA): Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Communication Centre (NCC), emphasised that efforts to enhance the effectiveness of the government communication sector are progressing steadily through the implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening its performance and role in national development.
He noted that these efforts aim to enhance the sector’s role as a key contributor to the Kingdom’s comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Commenting on the issuance of the edict regulating shared communication services, the Minister said the edict reflected the role of the communication sector in supporting national initiatives and showcasing achievements. He added that the edict reinforces the integration of efforts among government entities and reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing the government communication framework in line with national development goals.
Dr. Al Noaimi noted that the government's approach to regulate shared services in the financial, communication, and human resource sectors leads to achieving unified policy-making and standards to maintain quality benchmarks. It also aims to ensure the optimal use of available resources, based on clear and comprehensive professional criteria, he added.
The Minister expressed his optimism for a new phase in government communication, building on past accomplishments and fostering a renewed spirit of collective action.
