Lebanese magazine hails Bahrain’s achievements

Manama, Jan. 8(BNA): A leading Lebanese magazine saluted the Kingdom of Bahrain marking national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 47th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 19th anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne.


The widely-circulated Al-Sayyad dedicated its January issue to highlight the pioneering reform project, which was initiated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, stressing landmark political, democratic, and development and human rights strides. 


The issue lauded the impressive strides achieved by Bahraini women, paying tribute HM the King for his leadership as well as farsighted and strategic vision which considers the interest of nation and citizens as a top priority. 

The magazine shed light on the 2030 Bahrain Vision, which charters a long-term far-reaching strategy, based on key pillars of justice, competitiveness and sustainability, in line with the democratic process which aims to consolidate the atmosphere of freedom, openness, development, citizenship and human rights.


The special issue highlighted the the biography of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, from his auspicious birth until the present day and hailed landmark efforts exerted by HM the King, since he was crown prince, to lay the first foundations for the civilized state in the modern era, highlighting historical quotes drawn from the keynote royal speeches. 


The January issue, which was devoted to the Kingdom of Bahrain, highlighted HM the King’s keen interest in sport, aviation, horse-riding and hunting, as well as scientific and technological research to serve Bahrain, the Arabian Gulf region and the Arab World. 


It pointed out the role of HM the King in establishing the Bahrain Centre for Studies and Research, stressing his keenness on conserving the country’s heritage. It also highlighted HM the King’s keen interest swimming, horse-riding, hunting, shooting, football, golf and tennis, stressing his role in establishing the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). 


The magazine highlighted strong relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. It also shed light on the achievements of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the Ministry of Interior and the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
