Manama, Apr. 15 (BNA): His Highness General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, received a delegation of members of the United States Congress, headed by Adam Smith, Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, and Wesley Bell, US congress member.

The meeting took place as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the Kingdom and the US, in the presence of Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor.

His Highness highlighted the deep longstanding relation and strategic partnership between the two countries, noting the steady progress of Bahraini–US cooperation across various domains, driven by shared understanding and mutual interest.

The discussions covered issues of common interest, as well as recent regional and international developments.

Members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the close ties between the US and Bahrain.
