Manama, Mar. 18 (BNA): Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, met with the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries accredited to the Republic of Tunisia.

The meeting was chaired by Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Eid, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Tunisia, in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s capacity as the current presidency of the GCC, at their request.

The ambassadors discussed the recent blatant Iranian attacks targeting GCC countries, including strikes on civilian and residential areas that caused casualties and damage, and called on Iran to comply with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026) and cease such actions.

The minister expressed Tunisia’s full solidarity with GCC states, reiterated commitment to international law, and rejected any violations of their sovereignty. He also expressed appreciation to GCC countries for their support to the Tunisian community.

Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination to support regional security.
