Housing Ministry affirms continued delivery of alternative housing services to citizens
Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has affirmed its commitment to advancing the handover of residential plot projects in the Northern Governorate, under the scheme offering eligible citizens the option of a plot allocation supported by BD 40,000 in construction financing through the "Tas’heel" programme.
The ministry noted that the electronic draw process is running smoothly, with dedicated teams assisting beneficiaries throughout the selection stages and presenting the available options. It added that communication continues with citizens shortlisted to benefit from the next phase of housing solutions, which covers 804 housing services, in line with the ministry’s scheduled plan.
As part of efforts to address longstanding housing requests dating back to 2004 and earlier, the current plan offers three alternative pathways for home ownership. These include the allocation of a residential plot with financing through the "Tas’heel" programme and a two-year housing allowance; an apartment option that comes with a BD 3,000 grant and a two-year waiver of maintenance fees for shared facilities; and a financing package of up to BD 70,000 under "Tas’heel," supplemented by a non-refundable BD 10,000 grant.
