Djibouti, July 31 (BNA): The Federal Republic of Somalia and the Republic of Djibouti signed a Status of Forces Agreement (SoFA) to strengthen defence and security cooperation between the two nations.

The agreement lays out the legal and operational framework for the expansion of Djiboutian troops deployed in Somalia as part of broader regional stabilisation efforts, according to the Somali National News Agency (SONNA).

The SoFA was signed by Ahmed Moallin Fiqi, Minister of Defence of Somalia, and Ali Hassan Bahdoon, Acting Minister of Defence of Djibouti.
