Manama, Mar. 17 (BNA): Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Director-General of the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, stated that the "Fael Khair" initiative represents a humanitarian aspect of community work in the Kingdom of Bahrain, grounded in the values of solidarity, social cohesion and support for individuals facing financial difficulties. He noted that the initiative has become a practical model reflecting the role of charitable work in Bahraini society and its readiness to assist those in need.

Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid explained that the initiative’s measurable impact and sustained effectiveness are based on Bahrain’s established humanitarian approach, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This support has contributed to strengthening a culture of giving, facilitating impactful initiatives, encouraging philanthropic engagement, and delivering tangible benefits to beneficiaries.

He added that the "Fael Khair" initiative operates within the framework of the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, which support efforts to alleviate financial burdens on affected individuals and enhance social cohesion, while reinforcing the humanitarian principles underpinning Bahraini society.

Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid noted that, since its launch in 2020, the initiative has continued its humanitarian mission over six years, serving as an example of how targeted community initiatives can progress from conceptual planning to tangible outcomes, providing opportunities for individuals in distress to regain stability and balance, and reflecting Bahraini society’s commitment to assisting those in need in line with principles of citizenship and social responsibility.

He said that, as of Ramadhan 28, 1447 AH, the initiative had successfully closed all recorded cases of financial distress, and achieved notable humanitarian and social results during the holy month of Ramadhan this year, benefiting 81 individuals and settling 122 financial case files with a total value of BD311,705.368, demonstrating the scope of its impact on beneficiaries and their families.

Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid further noted that, since the launch of the "Fael Khair" programme, the total value of donations has exceeded BD4,000,000, expressing appreciation to all contributors and emphasising that these achievements would not have been possible without their support and sense of social responsibility. He also acknowledged the contribution of content creators on social media in raising awareness of distressed cases, communicating the initiative’s objectives, and enhancing its community presence.

He emphasised that the "Fael Khair" initiative provides an effective humanitarian model that extends beyond financial support to deliver social benefits, assisting in addressing cases of financial distress and restoring stability for beneficiaries and their families. He noted that the completion of all cases under the initiative demonstrates its success in achieving its humanitarian and social objectives, and reflects the effectiveness of this approach in promoting solidarity, mutual support, and tangible impact in the lives of beneficiaries.
