Youth Affairs Ministry launches commemorative stamp design competition for Bahrain Youth Day
Manama, Feb. 8 (BNA): The Youth Affairs Ministry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bahrain, has launched a national competition to design and issue a commemorative postage stamp in celebration of Bahrain Youth Day.
The initiative aims to highlight the creativity of Bahrain youth through a stamp design that reflects their aspirations and achievements. It also underscores the importance of strategic partnerships between government institutions and international organisations in providing platforms for young talents to express their ideas and innovations in design.
The competition offers young artists and designers the opportunity to showcase their vision of Bahrain Youth Day through contemporary and innovative designs that capture national values and identity. It serves as a platform for creative expression, enabling youth to contribute to national celebrations in a meaningful way.
Participation is open to Bahraini nationals aged 18 to 35, with designs required to be original and submitted individually or in teams of up to two participants. Companies are not eligible to participate. The designs must be innovative, high-quality, and aligned with the technical specifications outlined on the ‘eShabab’ app. A prize of BHD 500 will be awarded for the best design.
The ministry encouraged young Bahraini artists and creatives to seize this unique opportunity to showcase their talents on a national scale and contribute to the country's artistic and cultural landscape.
