Manama, Oct. 2 (BNA): As part of the joint cooperation between Bahrain Clear and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an introductory workshop on Bahrain Private Market was held for chamber members. This event is part of a series aimed at raising awareness among closed joint-stock companies about the market’s advantages and services.

During the workshop, attendees were introduced to the platform’s features and comprehensive services available to closed joint-stock companies. The benefits of joining the platform and the registration steps were highlighted, and the session concluded with answers to participants’ inquiries.

Abdulla Abdin, Chief Operating Officer of Bahrain Clear, said: "Through the Bahrain Private Market platform, we aim to provide a comprehensive package of services tailored for closed joint-stock companies, including shareholder custody and management, transparent settlement operations, cash dividend distribution, along with advanced digital solutions like electronic general assemblies, electronic voting, and stock auctions. We strive to provide effective tools for closed companies to manage their ownership efficiently and effectively."

Atef Al Khaja, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, underlined that this event aligns with the chamber’s efforts to support the private sector and enhance members’ awareness of opportunities and services that contribute to business development. He noted the chamber’s keenness to build cooperation with strategic partners to provide educational and awareness platforms benefiting member companies.

Bahrain Clear announced the launch of Bahrain Private Market in August 2022, followed by workshops to showcase its key features and services, in addition to the processing, linking, management, and execution of transactions through the platform.
