Manama, July 31 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with His Excellency Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al-Reeh, the Minister of Interior of the State of Palestine and an accompanying delegation, at Riffa Palace.

His Royal Highness affirmed that the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people are deeply rooted in the hearts of all Arabs, emphasising the importance of unified international efforts to realise and uphold those rights.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the longstanding ties between Bahrain and Palestine as well as the multisectoral collaboration, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency Mahmoud Abbas, the President of Palestine.

HE Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al-Reeh conveyed to HM the King and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad the greetings of HE Mahmoud Abbas, and expressed his wishes for continued progress and success for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

His Royal Highness extended the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, as well as his own, to His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas, along with wishes for prosperity and stability for Palestine.

His Royal Highness reiterated the Kingdom’s firm stance in supporting the Palestinian cause aimed at achieving a just and lasting solution guaranteeing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad also emphasised the importance of de-escalation, protecting civilians and the release of hostages.

His Royal Highness reiterated the need for continued humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza and commended the efforts of allied countries in this regard.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa also welcomed the shared commitment between the two countries to advancing cooperation across various sectors, including security collaboration.

During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest and avenues to further strengthen cooperation were discussed.

For his part, His Excellency Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al-Reeh expressed his gratitude for His Royal Highness’s commitment to advancing bilateral relations and for the warm welcome he had received during his visit to the Kingdom.

His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, and several senior officials, also attended the meeting.
