Gold prices slip
Singapore, Dec. 11 (BNA): Gold eased on Thursday, pulling back from a near one-week high.
Spot gold fell 0.4% to $4,210.72 per ounce, as of 0523 GMT, after touching its highest since December 5 earlier in the session. U.S. gold futures for February delivery gained 0.3% to $4,238.90 per ounce, Reuters reported.
Spot silver was steady at $61.77 per ounce after hitting a record high of $62.88 earlier in the session, bringing its year-to-date gain to 113% on strong industrial demand, falling inventories and its addition to the U.S. critical minerals list.
Elsewhere, platinum lost 0.4% to $1,650.08, while palladium fell 0.3% to $1,471.94.
