Moscow, Aug. 21 (BNA): Ayman Safadi, Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, held talks with Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, on enhancing cooperation and addressing key regional developments.

The two ministers said that Jordan and Russia are committed to strengthening strategic ties under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and His Excellency President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation. They discussed expanding collaboration across economic, trade, tourism and cultural sectors, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

The meeting also announced preparations for the seventh meeting of the Jordanian-Russian Joint Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation, to be held in Moscow before the end of the year.
