Primary Healthcare Centres sign MoU with Bahrain Association for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties
Manama, Feb. 25 (BNA): The Primary Healthcare Centres signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bahrain Association for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties to enhance cooperation across several health and medical areas. The MoU provides for the implementation of specialised training programmes and the support of educational and rehabilitation initiatives, contributing to the development of competencies and the enhancement of services provided.
Dr. Ejlal Faisal Al Alawi, Chief Executive of the Primary Healthcare Centres, said that the MoU focuses on strengthening cooperation in conducting periodic and preventive medical examinations for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. She noted that this cooperation will support the development of healthcare practices and improve the quality of medical services, with a positive impact on children’s health.
Dr. Shaikha Rania bint Ali Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Bahrain Association for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties, said that the MoU represents an important step towards integrating efforts between the health and civil sectors. She added that the association seeks to build effective strategic partnerships that contribute to providing comprehensive and integrated services for children and their families. She noted that cooperation will enhance early detection, facilitate referral pathways, and provide more specialised and responsive healthcare services tailored to children’s needs.
